About the event
Intersectionality is at the forefront of contemporary thought and none of us is defined by a single identity. Navigating identity can be difficult, even for the most confident and self-aware among us. We invite you to join us as we explore the different aspects of our identities. In this series, we will be unpacking an introduction to LGBTQ+ and other identities, the relationship of self and society, intersectionality, multiple identities, privilege, and how we make meaning of our stories to facilitate growth.
Participants are encouraged to bring a notebook/journal and a pen as each workshop session will be utilizing Zoom breakout rooms, slideshows, and reflective practice. The Zoom room will be password-protected for privacy and you will receive an email on the day of each session with the password. (Check your spam!)
Feel free to attend one session or all of them. This workshop is designed as a stand-alone weekly study or as a series. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Week One: Introduction to Identity (LGBTQ+ Identities and More)
Week Two: The Self & Society
Week Three: Intersectionality, Identity, & Privilege
Week Four: The Power of Story, Meaning, & Growth
