About the event
Sometimes labels feel like they strip away our personhood or erase our truth. It can be really painful when others place labels on us - especially the wrong ones - and there are also times where someone hears a label and gets a very different idea in their head. But are labels a bad thing? In this workshop, teen participants will be invited to introduce themselves and describe their identities without using (identifying) labels. The group will reflect on the exercise and join together in a discussion about the experience, and share more general experiences and perspectives about labels. Are there times labels have felt helpful? What challenges have we had with labels? Are there labels that we embrace? How do we know when to use / not to use labels? Facilitated by Hal Sposato (they/them)
All workshops will be led by trans/non-binary facilitators. This workshop series is VIRTUAL (on Zoom) and FREE! To register, click here.
This event is not being run by Translate Gender, not NAGLY.
